Skincare ingredients, checked against a published list

Two checkers, two different questions. One matches a routine against a published list of86 ingredients that comedogenicity testing has rated 1 or higher. The other applies a stated rule about the fatty acids Malassezia can use. Both run in your browser and neither asks for an account.

Neither list is issued by a regulator, because no regulator issues one. That is not a caveat hidden at the bottom of a page — it is the reason the entire list is printed on the page beside each checker, at version 2026-08-10, so you can read it rather than trust it. Where the 0–5 scale comes fromexplains why published lists disagree with one another.
